The Rosso di Valtellina is Arpepe's introduction to the perfect Nebbiolo wines of the Alps. Made at the Northern end of Lombardy at high elevations, this is the wine that sees the lightest treatment of oak and lightest aging.
Named for the red granite of the vineyard its fruit is grown in, this particular riserva has all the complexity you could as for in an Alpine Nebbiolo, with a distinct sanguine quality that sets it apart from Arpepe's other efforts. In 2018, Gambero Rosso’s Vini d’Italia awarded BEST ITALIAN RED WINE OF THE YEAR to the 2007 vintage of this wine. Except 2016 is the best Valtellina vintage in well over thirty years.
Ashes & Diamonds' flagship full bodied Red blend uses Napa's forgotten grapes: Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Grown on their own vineyard, by Massican founder Dan Petroski, this is one of Napa's best wines.
This bold Cabernet Sauvignon from Diana Snowden Seysses shows how great the grape can be, with cassis, dark cherry, and baking spice aromas while keeping the body, acidity, and tannin in balance.
This promising first bottling has a fragrant nose, with cassis, cherry, and a slight tobbaco edge on the palate, and fine tannins balanced by a lively acidity.
This promising first bottling from younger vines serves up a vibrant, slightly herbaceous red fruit profile with hints of minerality and spice. Drink now or before 2028.
Bieler Family Born to Run is the culmination of Charles’ last 20 years – piecing together his origin story and tradition-bending blend of two states where he’s been producing wine for a decade-plus each. He had always remarked that the black fruit and structure of Washington Cabernet Sauvignon would be well complimented by the softer, lush, red fruit profile from California. Cross-state blending is rarely done in a quality way, but Charles is un-deterred.
Full bodied Tempranillo with significant oak aging before release. Much of the fresh fruit flavours are supplanted with leather and spice and the wine has strong tannin.
