Shadows is a tiny parcel of Chardonnay grapes in Saint-Aubin's La Combe 1er Cru vineyard that is well shaded by forest. Wild, low-yielding old vines make an intense and rich Chardonnay.
A nice aromatic wine, with notes of dried citrus peel, ginger, and tropical fruit. Acidic and light on alcohol, this wine has a freshness that makes it almost too crushable. Excellent pairing for creamy soups.
