A medium-bodied red with notes of black cherry licorice, strawberry, and a hint of leather, this one could use some time in a decanter. Delicious now, but totally cellar-worthy.
As the name ("fougue" translates as 'ardor') indicates, this is a wine with impact, with cherry florality on the nose and notes of stonefruit and lemon curd on the palate, and an almond-y finish. Like some passions, this one needs time: open a day in advance for its full expression.
Stemming from time spent alongside the verbose pagans over at grape witches, Field Guide sees Gewürtztraminer melding with apple, pear, and golden plum in amphora to great effect. An improvement to any patio or picnic experience.
A collaboration with the folks at Paradise Grapevine, this one is "Vidal macerated on Cab Franc skins" meets apple/plum cider, and it is deliciously drinkable.
