Bieler Family Born to Run is the culmination of Charles’ last 20 years – piecing together his origin story and tradition-bending blend of two states where he’s been producing wine for a decade-plus each. He had always remarked that the black fruit and structure of Washington Cabernet Sauvignon would be well complimented by the softer, lush, red fruit profile from California. Cross-state blending is rarely done in a quality way, but Charles is un-deterred.

Full-bodied Tempranillo with dark berry fruit and strong tannins. Good acidity from a high vineyard elevation keeps this wine tasting fresh. The Red table wine to go with weeknight dinners.

"Complex and attractive bouquet of oriental spices with pronounced violet and white pepper flavours. It has lovely perfumed red fruit aromatics. A well-balanced wine with spicy overtones and a lingering finish. Very classic style with unmistakable Rhone flavours. Good to drink now, but will develop and mature over the next 10 years."

Low-temperature fermentation, with slight barrel ageing to enhance its aroma. Despite being a low acid grape, Casa Mariol does a good job at mainting freshness, which keeps the intense rasberry flavours tasting freshly picked. On the other hand, theres some dried fig, toffee and spice to colour the fruit with savoury qualities.

Casa Mariols take on something more reminiscent of Catalunya, while Cariñena (Carignan) can be a hard grape to find sometimes, in Terra Alta it's something the locals drink everyday. The grape has a unique cured meat quality, which marries with tobacco leaf scents. With tart cranberry and rasberry fruit it's hard not to fall in love.

100% tempranillo aged in large oak casks. Bursting with notes of ripe red cherry, strawberry and earthy balsamic.
