Costadila is a closed ecosystem farm in the hills north of Venice. Each cuvee is bottled by its vineyard elevation and the wine is fermented in bottle and presented with the lees in the bottom of the bottle.
Superposition comes from the Le Trézin parcel of Puligny-Montrachet at the top of the Blagny hill where the altitude keeps the acidity fresh in the wine. A complex Chardonnay with buttery richness and grapefruit aromas that deserves some cellaring.
The vineyard in Pouilly-Fuisse where this wine was grown has since been upgraded to Premier Cru and this wine gives insight into why. It has an amazing blend of richness and balance, with tropical fruit and flint aromas.
This elegant, traditional-method sparkling has dried apricot and lemon curd on the palate. Great for the heat, whether that's in the summer sun or by a fireplace.
