Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (26%)
"Intense and graceful, the nose introduces a fine concentration of Cassis and highlights of cedar, anise, and vanilla bean. The palate shows generous layers of bramble fruit and licorice followed by subtle nuances of white pepper. This bold and dense red is incredibly well balanced with fine tannin, elegant structure and a lengthy finish."
52% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot. Aged in French oak for 17 months. An Okanagan take on Bordeaux-style red, with only 99 barrels made. This is a big, aggressive red that manages to retain a fresh vibrancy despite all that, and the complexity is a testament to what Mission Hill's best sites have to offer.
47% Syrah, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc. Floral, with red fruit notes on the nose and dark fruit accompanied on the palate by white pepper and a hint of cinnamon. A structure that shifts and evolves, with fine tannins and a pleasantly lingering finish.
Tinta Barroca is an old Portuguese grape varietal used in Port production that found its way to South Africa for Fortified wines. This wine comes from rehabilitated old vineyards to make a dry and spicy Red.
Perfumed and complex on the nose, with outstanding aromas of ripe red and black fruits over subtle notes of crème de cassis, tobacco, and leather. Pepper, cinnamon, and dark chocolate notes. In palate is smooth but structured, with silky tannins. A blend consisting mostly of Cab Sauv, with a little Cab Franc, Petit Verdot, and Merlot to round things out.
Made of fruit grown in the Apalta and Marchigue regions of what is perhaps Chile's most well-known terroir, the Colchagua Valley, Purple Angel Carmenere is this varietal at its best. 70% of the wine sees 18 months in new French oak, giving it distinct dark chocolate and tobacco notes, and the fruit is well-expressed, with a hint of dried herbs.
Deep red leaning into purple, as is characteristic of Carmenère. Intense blackberry and blueberry on the nose, accompanied by pleasing spice notes of bell pepper and black pepper, rounded out by time in French oak barrels, delivering a very complex wine. The palate of the wine shows extreme smoothness and potency, with a very long, pleasant finish. 85% Carmenere, 15% Cabernet Franc.
A very fine Pinot Grigio with grapefruit and citrus pith aromas and extended lees aging. A big step up in quality from the mass-produced Italian versions.
